    Issue 101!

So we didn’t end up stopping at 99, or even at 100.  Issue 101 is back from the publishers and will officially be released on July 1st (but shhh they are in stock now, so will probably end up shipping before then if you get your order in that is!).

This issues sees a great chat with Edweena Banger, a punk legend right there!  There’s a huge feature on the albums by the Lemonheads.  Live reviews of Danni Nicholls and Reef.  Marv is back with Now Then Gadgie in a new format, check it out!  There’s a few columns as well from the gang along with a few music reviews to close the issue out.

You can grab a copy from us here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-101

In other news, we are very close to finishing issue 102 as well already!  Very much ahead of schedule.  Also issue 103 is underway too, definitely keeping busy right now!

But, we’d love to hear from you…. ideas, bands to chat with, all that stuff, we’d love for more of our readers to get involved.  Please drop us a line!  Cheers!

    Issue 100!!!!

We bloody did it!  We made 100 issues of Lights Go Out!

I spent ages trying to think about what to do for the hundredth issue… ideas of special editions, stuff I could put with it… but nothing really jumped to mind that was a bit different.  So in the end I decided to just write about 100 rad albums…

That might sound a bit of a cop out but it’s not all that easy trying to whittle down just 100 albums.  Going through my CD and vinyl shelves and picking the records out that I decided to include in this issue.  I did however set myself a few rules.  Simple rules but important ones for this process.

Grab a copy to see who make the 100 rad albums, also who just missed out?

You can pick a copy (or more) up in our store here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-100

    Thanks!

    Issue 98 – out tomorrow!

Issue 98 of Lights Go Out is officially released into the world tomorrow!

Featuring Speed Dinosaurs and Local Trouts in interview action.  Marv is back once again with another cracking installment of Gadgie @ The Flicks and this time is talking The Godfather III.  There’s various columns too on the likes of cymbalic ladies, movies, physical releases and more.  We’ve also got a special feature on compilation reviews along with some music reviews too.

Still just a quid (plus postage) – no price hikes here and we’re still putting the zine out monthly!

Grab yourself some reading material here: https://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-98

Issue 99 is well underway too.  We had debated leaving it there, but issue 100 is actually completed and ready to send to print!  Still some very exciting times over at Lights Go Out HQ.

As always, cheers for supporting the zine, it’s much appreciated.
