ENERGY Release New Single/Video For ‘The Witching Hour’

Following on from the UK release of the critically acclaimed album ‘Apparition Sound’ the brand new single, ‘The Witching Hour’ is a continuation of frontman, Tank’s full creative vision for the future of Energy.

Speaking on the single, Tank says, “I’m really excited for people to hear “The Witching Hour” because I think Energy really needed a song like this. I think with this song, we’re perpetuating this unconscious idea of what people think the band should sound like based off of either our image and aesthetic, or what our songs have merely hinted at in the past. The song sounds and feels familiar as though it had already been written by Energy, yet nothing in our catalogue sounds quite like it. In my opinion, “The Witching Hour” is one of our strongest and most intense songs, and I can see it being a fixture in our live set for a long time.”

‘The Witching Hour’ was recorded and produced by Chris Curran (Four Year Strong, PVRIS, A Loss For Words, It Lives It Breathes) at “Reclaim Studios” in Thompson, CT.

Energy formed in February of 2006 in the town of Stoughton, Massachusetts. Over the last decade, Energy’s signature style of somber, melancholy melodies and introspective lyrics combined with infectiously poppy hooks has truly cemented them as one of Boston’s most unique bands.

The band were unveiled as special guests on the Creeper headline tour by That’s Not Metal Podcast on December 23rd and will be hitting Manchester, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds, London, Southampton, Birmingham and Cardiff this spring. The dates will be in support the new album, ‘Apparition Sound’, which was released in the UK in early February and brand new single, ‘The Witching Hour’.

After independently releasing their 2006 E.P. “Punch The Clock”, the band immediately developed a cult following and signed with Boston’s own “Bridge 9 Records” to release their 2008 full-length album ‘Invasions Of The Mind’, as well as their 2010 E.P. ‘Walk Into The Fire’.

‘The Witching Hour’ is out now and available through all usual digital platforms.
