Issue 51 will be released on 2nd October (as it’s the Monday!). After 50 issues of the zine we’ve decided to have a bit of a change around with the front cover design. In the past we’ve had amazing artists let us use their work, we’ve used the occasional photo too. But also we’ve had the same logo since issue 3 and just felt like we needed to change things up a bit by going back to the cut n paste look. Now, I’m not saying this will stay for a long time, we may get bored of this soon, but for now it’s giving the zine a change and hopefully you all like it, we do of course welcome feedback.
So what’s in issue 51 of Lights Go Out? We have interviews with Best Ex, Who Killed Nancy Johnson?, Tio Rico and Anna Arsenicum. This issue’s Gadgie @ The Flicks sees Marv tackle “Shockwaves” from 1977. Emily writes a piece about musical ghost sightings and stories. Lee writes about Rebellion Festival. Add in the usual music reviews, some zine reviews and band profiles from: The Village, Inverted Scrotum, Sail & Sam Draisey.
So that’s ten of the year’s twelve issues done and dusted. And of course the cover features Batman giving Spiderman a leg up….what more could you ever need?
