Yes really, issue 40 of Lights Go Out has gone to the printers today! It will be released on 2nd August 2016.
40 pages, 40th issue and there’s another 40th but you’ll have to buy it…
I’ve already announced the contents but can now show you the front cover. The artwork is by the super talented Dan Bowden and was something he created for us maybe 7/8 years ago, well the time is right for this to make the front cover of Lights Go Out.
You can pre-order the zine via our shop now and we’ll ship them once they’re back from the printers. The link is here: http://www.lightsgoout.co.uk/?product=lights-go-out-issue-40-pre-order-released-020816
As ever, thanks to all who support Lights Go Out, it really does mean the world to us. Thanks.
So, hot on the heels of the latest issue, we are already closing out the next issue of Lights Go Out. We’re back to a normal issue this time round and I am really pleased to announce the bands that will be featured in the next printed zine. So here we go…

Again if you’d like to contribute please get in touch (deadline will be July 4th though) as we’re planning on this one being printed and released at the very start of August. Exciting times….

Issue 40 is well underway as well and will be back to the normal Lights Go Out format. We are looking for people to get involved, whether that be with a column, a review (release/gig) or even to come up with a design for the front cover. Please do get in touch with us either via the contact form here or our Facebook page, which is here: https://www.facebook.com/lightsgooutzine/
San Francisco’s Coercion 96 are back after a hiatus of twenty years. Featuring members of Good Riddance, Papa Roach, The Lonely Kings and Fury 66 – they’re soon releasing a quite stunning EP called “Exit Wounds” which we were lucky enough to check out in advance. Comprising a heavy rock sound with punk ethics, the EP will be out on Bird Attack Records. We were able to throw a few questions to guitarist Luke Pabich, you can check the interview out online now (or wait for the printed version which will run in issue 40.
We recently chatted to Aree from Aree And The Pure Heart. Their new EP “Heartsongs” is out now and it’s a really great record! So we’re really pleased to be able to introduce you to their sound, please do check the interview out and then the EP too!

We’ve been working on the interviews recently and we’ll be able to announce them over on our Facebook page soon enough! Cheers.
